Get to know Annabelle du Plessis | Practical Placement Coordinator & Lecturer

Why did you choose to study event coordination? And why did you choose The Aleit Academy?

I chose event coordination because I absolutely love organizing and planning. Admin is one of my favourite things under the sun. The Aleit Academy seemed like the perfect fit to live out my dream career as it ticked all my interest boxes and offered so many opportunities.

What is your role at The Aleit Academy and how did you end up working for the institution where you studied?

I am a lecturer and practical placement coordinator at The Aleit Academy. I never thought I’d end up at The Academy, but after working within The Aleit Group as a venue manager, it was an easy change of scenery.

What are you looking forward to the most this year?

I am most looking forward to lecturing and getting to know the students better.

What is your favourite part of your job?

My favourite part of my job is walking a journey with the students in getting to know them in their first year, seeing them grow in their time at The Academy and then finding their perfect spot in the industry.
